Racecourse & Ladies Day FAQ's

What can we wear on the evening?
Ladies Evening is a great chance to wear your best suit or dress! We have prizes on the evening for Best Dressed Lady, Best Hat and new for 2012, Best Shoes. Diners in our Horizons and Ringside restaurants tend to dress up for the occasion. If you have Premier or Grandstand tickets, no ripped jeans or football shirts!

What time do gates open?
Gates open on the day at 4.00pm with the first race at 6.00pm. Traffic will be busy around Wolverhampton so make sure you get here nice and early for a pre-race drink and to study the racecard if you fancy a cheeky bet!

Do you have to bet?
Certainly not, only bet if you really want to. Horse racing is much more than gambling, just come along on the evening to soak up the atmosphere and have a great night with friends and family. If you would like to bet but don’t know how, just speak to one of the bookies, Ladbrokes or Tote staff.

What is this free drink for ladies who pre-book?
Every lady who pre-books before Ladies Evening will receive a free voucher to get a drink. The drink is a closely guarded secret, but we promise it to be fruity and delicious, and will be a great way to start off the evening!

We have a group of 10 coming to the racecourse, what deals do you have on?
A great value package to come racing is the Punters Package. The package is £15.00 per person for groups of 6 or more and offers a Grandstand Enclosure ticket, racecard, 3 drinks vouchers and a discounted ladbrokes betting voucher. We also have the Punters Package+ which includes all of the above and a £5.00 food voucher, all for £20.00. These tickets cannot be purchased on the day so pre-booking is essential!!!

Is Ladies Evening just for women?
Not at all, everyone is welcome! Ladies get the chance to dress up and have a dance to the live music after racing finishes, and gents get to watch the racing and hold the handbags!

What entertainment is on after racing finishes?
We have a live outdoor performance from fantastic band Battle of the Divas - they will be on stage straight after the last race. The performance will take place in the Grandstand Enclosure and is open to ALL racegoers. Horizons and Ringside Restaurant diners have access to a disco in the Ringside after the live band. Hospitality and Premier with Entertainment ticket holders will have access to a disco within the Premier enclosure after the live band.

What food is available on the day?
We have a great selection of eateries available on the day. The Weigh Inn bar is a lively bar with a great atmosphere situated between the Parade Ring and track. The bar menu offers a range of delicious food from Lasagne to Burger and Chips! The Paddock Grill is situated within the concourse on the ground floor, also offering a great range of foods. Situated in the Grandstand enclosure we also have a sausage roll and pasty stand, pork baps and baguettes and much more, so there is certainly no need to go hungry on the night!
