Scouting for Girls attract the largest crowd so far in 2013

More than 3,600 people enjoyed a 75 minute performance from Scouting for Girls after racing on Thursday night.

It came only five days since Scouting For Girls performed in the area - opening the V Festival at nearby Weston Park on Saturday.

Afterwards, the band said they had enjoyed their trip to the city.

Lead singer Roy Stride said: "The fans in Wolverhampton are fantastic."

The evening started at 5.50pm with the first of 7 races and the promise of live music from Scouting for Girls attracted many first time visitors to the racecourse.

The performance at Wolverhampton was part of a wider tour at other ARC racecourses, after Wolvehampton the band were heading straight to Newcastle Racecourse before completing the racecourse tour on Saturday night at Royal Windsor.

The outdoor performance from Scouting For Girls who are one of the biggest pop bands in the UK with over two million record sales, was a first at the racecourse and proved very popular with those in attendance on the evening.
