Compton Hospice to Celebrate 30 Years At The Racecourse

Wolverhampton Racecourse is delighted to announce their partnership with Compton Hospice is going from strength to strength.

2012 sees Compton hospice celebrating 30 years of providing the best care to patients facing a life-limiting illness and their families, with an all 80’s experience evening at the racecourse! Having previously worked together for the Hospices 2011 Charity ball, the racecourse seemed the perfect choice to host another evening’s entertainment and fundraising.

Sally Woods, Community Fundraiser from Compton Hospice said “We are delighted to be working with the racecourse again. Our previous event that we held there was such a success, we felt there was no other venue in the area that could offer the type of service that the racecourse did”.

With its large 350 seat dining area, the racecourse offers a perfect venue for large party and dining experiences.

David Roberts Managing Director at the racecourse said “We are delighted to be working with the Compton Hospice team again. We believe in supporting local charities and we thank them for letting us be a part of their special anniversary”.

The event, to be held on Saturday the 18th February, will celebrate 30 years of the hospices great free of service work, to a catchment area of 1.3 million people. Communities across the Black Country, including Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall, South Staffordshire and East Shropshire have benefited from the work they have done. Tickets are on sale now and are priced at £26.95, with all profits going to the Hospice.

To book your tickets, contact the hospice on 0845 2255497, or email -
